Coming March 30, 2025
The Hope Knows No Borders Book Club & Webinar Series
Author and collaborators of Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands invite you to join their burgeoning cross-border learning community engaging one and all in a collective journey of discovery.
Our launch event, On Providing Sanctuary & Building Underground Railroads, will feature Reverend John Fife and Dora Rodriguez — co-padres of the 1980s Sanctuary Movement — in conversation with me, and other esteemed guests (names to follow), to discuss when the need for providing sanctuary against government overreach began and why, as well as how we may harness yesteryear’s lessons to meet the demands of today’s attack on democratic values.
The Hope Knows No Borders Book Club & Webinar Series will convene:
The 4th Sunday of every month
From 2:30-4:00 pm ET
Register to receive a Zoom link in your inbox.
April’s theme will be on the criminalization of humanitarianism. Speakers and pre-reading suggestions will be announced on my website well in advance of each session.
Everyone is welcome!

Dear readers, I aim to keep this newsletter free to subscribers as a means to grow a community of people who, if they only knew, would be outraged, too, about the cruel and broken state of immigration systems in the US and worldwide. If you appreciate the content, please consider sharing these posts with your family, followers, and friends. Gratitude in advance! XO Sarah
Love this plan. We could all use a little support and help from each other in these dark times
