We watched the returns from our AirBnb in Manhattan. It was a weird experience because it wasn't really an AirBnb, it was the Aya Hotel at 2nd Ave. & 45th, near the UN Building. I had just ran the marathon for the 2nd year in a row. Before a winner emerged, we turned off the TV and went to bed. When we got back to Las Cruces, NM, we went about our usual business of feeding people at El Caldito, the soup kitchen, including immigrants, of course. We're lucky to live in a blue state where our elected officials like Sen. Ben Ray Luján will fight the good fight against DC.

When T turned CBP on peaceful protesters during the BLM demonstrations of 2020, that's when I saw the bully on his illegitimate pulpit for exactly what he is: a tyrant who needs a scapegoat because he's got no real ideas and no real power. Yes, fortunately T has no reach into El Caldito. It's so much worse over in El Paso for aid organizations because of Abbott and Paxton.
