Thank you, Sarah. Every time I review a chapter as you did here I learn more about what preceded my involvement in early June 2018, and even the details surrounding what was happening while I was so engaged that I couldn’t see the “forest”.
It’s so disturbing that this nation continues to fail to address the desperate need for a comprehensive and HUMANE immigration program at our southern border. And here we go all over again with terrorizing raids on our agricultural workers and their families. It’s so discouraging, but it also ignites the fire within to stand up and fight the inhumanity and frankly the stupidity.
Thank you for your comment, Joyce. It's unbelievable, right? Not only are we back where we were when your critical work with the Angry Tías began, but it's now so, so, so much worse. You know as well as anyone that I wrote CROSSING THE LINE for those of us who, if they only knew, would be outraged, too. Because I believe it is the "fire within," as you state, that will get folks into the streets and standing up for their neighbors, in particular, and human rights, in general.
These are dark, dark times. The actions of this regime are unacceptable.
We need to Get Pissed!
Get Educated (that's where CROSSING THE LINE comes in)!
Thank you! As of Friday, Border Patrol confirmed 78 arrests. The 192 was an initial estimate from the Kern County rapid response team in Kern County.

Thanks so much for the correction. I'll make that edit now. Great to be connected, Melissa. Thanks for your good work!
